The "Steel x Real" Origin Story

Christian's life has always revolved around two wheels, starting with his childhood in Sweden where he cycled to horse back riding lessons. His journey progressed to dirt bikes at a German stud farm and later navigating the rainy roads of Bermuda on a moped. However, after relocating to Memphis, Tennessee, when he married Coach Mac, the lack of coastline sparked a new craving for 'wind therapy' to replace the ocean breeze. What began with a simple horsey family's shared scooter, soon evolved. Christian upgraded to a used Bonneville, purchased from a veteran rider whose passion for motorcycles became infectious, sparking a shared dream for the couple. Initially content as a passenger, Coach Mac’s perspective shifted when she encountered a sexy mini-moto, the 125cc Papio.

 

That jaunty little red & white machine inspired her to take the handlebars herself and sign up for the MSF course at Bumpus Harley-Davidson of Memphis. Trying her skills on a ton of different bikes, she finally discovered her 'flat-footing' confidence, and today she's hoping to encourage more women like herself to find their confidence in a mid-life lifestyle and stop using their hazards to avoid the highway speeds of life.

 

For this real horse duo, their steel horses represent more than just travel or escape; they are a gateway to getting to know a vibrant community of authentic adventurers who look out for one another.
